What is calligraphy? How is it different from cursive?

You're going to learn all about it in this Introduction to Modern Calligraphy workshop, and hopefully have some fun while doing it!

We will learn all the basics of calligraphy, how to set up your workspace, how to use an oblique (pointed pen) and ink, and even get to know the type of paper we will be using. The workshop offers plenty of opportunity to practice, getting to know the shapes and connections needed for calligraphy. The goal of the class is to equip you with the skills and confidence to create your own piece of writing that you get to take take home and show off to your friends and family.

All materials and supplies will be provided. Come as you are, or bring a friend, meet some people, and have fun!
